 Dan McMillen
PGA Professional
Dan McMillen has been the golf professional at the Greens of Greenville for the
past 17 years. He is truly a home grown golf professional. After graduating from
nearby Reynolds High School in 1982, he moved on to Thiel College in Greenville,
PA where he earned his BA in the field of business administration in 1986. He
was a four year letterman on the Thiel College golf team and finished second in
the President’s Athletic Conference his senior season. After six years in the
medical sales profession, Dan accepted the position of Head Golf Professional at
the Greenville Country Club in 1992. Dan earned his “Class A” status with the
PGA of America in April of 1996. He has been the Head Golf Coach at Greenville
High School for a total of 11 seasons and is an assistant to the Thiel men’s and
women’s golf teams.
Dan has played in 19 annual Greenville Business and Industry Day Golf Classics
and has played with over 30 PGA, LPGA, and Senior tour players. He has played
with such notables as Fuzzy Zoeller, John Cook, and Natalie Gulbis.
On March 12, 2007 at the King and Bear Golf Club in St. Augustine, FL, Dan made
golfing history by becoming the first PGA Professional to ever record two hole -
in - ones on the same day on the same hole; acing the #11 - 124yd. - Par 3 hole
in the morning and again in the afternoon.
